Welcome to Bag Half Full
Our Mission
Bag Half Full is an organization founded and coordinated by UofA medical students that provides FREE grocery and prescription delivery services to those in need in Calgary and Edmonton. We began in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to build community and support each other in meeting basic living needs. We believe that everyone deserves access to healthy food and basic necessities. With the help of our dedicated volunteers and supporters, we aim to support and protect vulnerable populations and work towards a future where everyone has a bag half full.
For families or individuals unable to leave their house for reasons related to COVID-19 or for those with ANY other accessibility barriers we offer the following services:
1. Pick-up and delivery of online grocery orders from one of the major grocery stores
2. Grocery shopping and delivery (includes local farmers' markets)
3. Prescription pick-up and delivery
